My name is Kiara Luna and I am a self-taught artist from Germany. I am 22 years old and I’m currently studying at the „Freie Kunstakademie Mannheim“.

Ever since I’ve been a little kid I have drawn and painted. Pouring all this creativity from my mind right onto the paper or canvas. At first its been fantasy creatures like fairies and dragons. As I grew up, I slowly developed a preference for human faces. For a few years I drew the faces of different humans with all their different shapes and features using just a ballpen. It was a lot of fun not sketching the face with a pencil, but starting right with the ink, cause‘ you only have this one chance to draw. If one line is messed up you can’t erase it. In this phase of my art journey I learned a lot and got an eye for details. 

Even tough art has such a big impact in my life, I was always kind of hold back by society and family to pursue art as a future job. That’s why I first started to study something else where I was interested in. But soon I felt, that I missed it too much to pour out my creativity in some way, because I hadn’t had the time anymore to do so. So I decided to quit my studies and applied at a few art schools.

In September 2021 I started to study at the „Frei Kunstakademie Mannheim“, which was the best possible decision for myself. In such a short period of time I have learnt already so much, like figure drawing or photography and it helped me also to find a direction of a certain style. 

I also got more into digital painting and created my first design, which I screen printed on fabric and paper. Soon I produced a limited stock of T-shirts and bags, that you can also purchase in my Etsy shop 🙂

I got more and more into a surrealistic and kind of psychedelic art style, which you can partly see in the few works that are in my portfolio. But still I am. very open to experimenting and I’m trying out a lot with different techniques and materials. 

In assumption I am still in a learning phase and with time it could be, that I develop a new art style. But for now You are welcome to accompany me on my journey.
